Yummy and healthy Tofu-scramble. Easily prepared!
Tofu Scramble has been one of my favorite meals ever since I turned vegan about 5 1/2 years ago.
It's so easy to prepare and just tastes fantastic. Give it a try and convince yourself!
You won't regret it.
Even if you haven't liked Tofu before, after trying this delicious dish you will love it!
Ingredients:
1 Block Tofu
1 big Tomato
2 Spring onions
1 tbsp Nutritional yeast
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Salt
Pepper to taste
1 tsp turmeric
A pinch of Kala-Namak (Black Salt)
1/4 cup of soy milk (or any other plant milk)
1 Avocado
Zubereitung:
Cut open the Tofu, drain the water and use some paper towels to get rid of the excess liquid. You will want to just roll the tofu in the paper towel and then softly press on it with your han
ds.
Slice up your veggies.
Now you have to crumble up the tofu. Just hold it over your pan and start crumbling it into the pan. It doesn't matter if there are some bigger and smaller chunks. In the original scrambled eggs, the pieces have different sizes as well.
Now you can start to fry the tofu. If you want you can use oil but I just used a non-sticking pan. You can add all
of the spices at this point. On medium heat let the tofu fry for about 5 minutes.
Add the milk and veggies. (not the avocado)
Let everything simmer for another 5 minutes until all of the veggies are cooked.
Now you can assemble your beautiful tofu scramble. I like to eat mine with a slice of whole wheat bread and some vegan cream cheese or butter. On top of the scramble, you can also add your avocado slices. I like to put them directly on top of the scramble but you can also put it on your bread if you'd like. I think it's especially delicious with a little sriracha on top so that's what I would do.
Now all that's left to do is for you to enjoy! :)
